What Data We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of personal data: Studio customers (account holders): • Name, email address, and phone number • Organization and business information • Login credentials (passwords are stored encrypted) • Billing details and payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card details) • The content you create and edit on the platform (site copy, images, design choices) Visitors to sites built with LINJERUM Studio: • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information • Usage data collected via essential cookies (see the Cookies section below) We do not collect special categories of personal data (sensitive data) as part of the platform itself.
Purpose and Legal Basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes: • To provide you access to the Studio and host the sites you build (legal basis: performance of contract) • To process subscription payments and invoices (legal basis: performance of contract) • To provide customer support (legal basis: legitimate interest) • To prevent fraud, abuse, and ensure platform security (legal basis: legitimate interest) • To send service notifications, billing emails, and product updates (legal basis: performance of contract) • To comply with legal obligations such as bookkeeping requirements (legal basis: legal obligation) • To improve our platform and services (legal basis: legitimate interest) We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Data Sharing
We share your personal data with the following categories of recipients: • Hosting and infrastructure providers: Your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting providers within the EU/EEA. • Payment providers: Subscription and billing data is processed by our payment service providers to complete transactions. • Email service providers: We use third-party services to send transactional emails (account notifications, billing, password resets). • Visitors to your published site: When you publish a site through the Studio, the content you have entered is by definition made public to visitors of that site. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. All our data processors are bound by data processing agreements in accordance with GDPR Article 28.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above: • Account data: Retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 5 years after deletion for bookkeeping purposes. • Site content: Retained while your subscription is active. After cancellation, content is retained for 30 days to allow recovery, then deleted. • Billing records: Retained for up to 5 years to comply with Danish bookkeeping legislation. • Technical logs and IP addresses: Retained for up to 12 months. • Cookie data: See the Cookies section below. When the retention period expires, your data is deleted or anonymized.
Cookies
The Studio uses cookies to ensure the application functions correctly and to remember your preferences. Necessary cookies: • Session cookies to keep you logged in • Security cookies to prevent fraud and protect your account • Preference cookies to remember your language (Danish / English) setting • Consent cookies to store your cookie choice We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies inside the Studio. Sites you publish through the Studio may include their own analytics or third-party scripts that you configure — those are governed by the privacy policy of each individual published site. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Please note that disabling necessary cookies may prevent the Studio from working correctly.
